Germs of Kloosterman Integrals

چکیده
In an earlier paper we introduced the concept of Shalika germs for certain Kloosterman integrals. We compute explicitly the germs in the case of the group GL(3).

Smooth Transfer of Kloosterman Integrals
We establish the existence of smooth transfer between absolute Kloosterman integrals and Kloosterman integrals relative to a quadratic extension.
متن کاملDistinguished Representations and Quadratic Base Change for Gl(3)
Let E/F be a quadratic extension of number fields. Suppose that every real place of F splits in E and let H be the unitary group in 3 variables. Suppose that Π is an automorphic cuspidal representation of GL(3, EA). We prove that there is a form φ in the space of Π such that the integral of φ over H(F )\H(FA) is non zero. Our proof is based on earlier results and the notion, discussed in this p...
متن کاملModular Invariants for Real Quadratic Fields and Kloosterman Sums
We investigate the asymptotic distribution of integrals of the j-function that are associated to ideal classes in a real quadratic field. To estimate the error term in our asymptotic formula, we prove a bound for sums of Kloosterman sums of half-integral weight which is uniform in every parameter. To establish this estimate we prove a variant of Kuznetsov’s formula where the spectral data is re...
متن کاملHigher Orbital Integrals, Shalika Germs, and the Hochschild Homology of Hecke Algebras
We give a detailed calculation of the Hochschild and cyclic homology of the algebra C∞ c (G) of locally constant, compactly supported functions on a reductive p–adic group G. We use these calculations to extend to arbitrary elements the definition the higher orbital integrals introduced by Blanc and Brylinski for regular semisimple elements. Then we extend to higher orbital integrals some resul...
متن کامل1 J an 1 99 5 THE FUNDAMENTAL LEMMA FOR
The authors establish the fundamental lemma for a relative trace formula. This trace formula compares generic automorphic representations of GSp(4) with auto-morphic representations of GL(4) which are distinguished with respect to a character of the Shalika subgroup, the subgroup of matrices of 2 × 2 block form g 0 X g. The fundamental lemma, giving the equality of two orbital integrals, amount...
